- First of all, I wanted to shout this out," I'M GRADUATED FRM MY FUCKING 3YRS COURSE!~" Muahaha... It a good sign to announce ever since I stop blogging for a long time. After I graduated from NYP, good things started to come one after one juz like I have found a job at Singtel as a Associate Engineer. Below will be the job scope
1. To plan the outside plant cabling network infrastructure (i.e. pipeline, cable (copper & fibre) and access equipment) for the provision of info-communications services such as telephony and data service within designated exchange areas.
2. To ensure network reliability and diversity within the exchange areas and to upgrade the existing infrastructure as and when required.
3. To build a cost-effective network and to keep the capital expenditure within the allocated budget.
4. To reduce and solve deferred subscribers cases and to ensure timely provision of services to customers in accordance to the Department’s target.
5. To liaise with architects, consultants, relevant authorities/agencies, building management and internal departments through site meetings on matters relating to outside plant network infrastructure and service provisioning.
6. To plan the diversion scheme and schedule to divert the outside plant infrastructure which is affected by the general public infrastructure upgrading works such as LTA’s road-widening, HDB’s Lift Upgrading Program (LUP) and Main Upgrading Progam (MUP), etc.
7. To conduct site survey and meetings in ensuring that building developers adhere to provide the required facilities in the building’s MDF and TER room for newly developed buildings, as stated in IDA’s Code of Practice for Info-communication Facilities in Buildings.
Many ppl told me that Singtel is a company that's not so easy to get in. Bt due to my determination and my taikoness I managed to get the job. So ppl out there dont be discourage, although economy is bad right now but doesnt mean it's the end of the world. Muahaha... Im so eager to work right now. Pray hard that the ppl there are kind and willing to train me to become a real associate engineer.
Last but not least, I would like to thank all my family members and friends who helped me in my resume and talking senses to me. Really appreciated and thankful.
